Glory Road R/C Raceway
4209 Rocky River Rd. North
Monroe, NC 28110
704-309-2229
Who we are:

Glory Road RC Raceway was built in November 2013. We began holding races in June of 2014. We operate in conjunction with Glory Road Paintball, which was founded in 2002. We are a ministry based non-profit organization with all proceeds going back to the ministry as well as facility improvements. Glory Road is 100% staffed by volunteers. We have a code conduct in place along with specific race rules. It is our goal to maintain a positive and encouraging atmosphere for the RC Car Racer.
During normal operations, we have bathrooms, cold drinks, snacks and hot dogs available. Our track has perimeter lighting, night racing has great visibility. Our pit spaces are covered, powered, and lighted along with compressed air and water for cleaning your vehicles.

We currently race on Wednesday Evenings and Sunday afternoons.

Normal Classes (Subject to Change)

2wd Buggy Mod.    (2s Max Battery)
2wd SCT Mod           (2s Max Battery)
4wd SCT Mod           (2s Max Battery)
Beginner-Open           (2s Max Battery)
E-Buggy                     (4s Max Battery) we ask that this class practice extreme throttle control)

Prizes: 1st Place A-Main FREE RACE
              2nd Place A-Main ½ OFF RACE
            3rd Place A-Main ½ OFF RACE

We use the MY-Laps or AMB timing system, our system is fairly new (1-01-15) and we can read just about all of the AMB transponders.

Transponders can be rented for $15.00 per race event or they can be purchased onsite for $85.00. We keep in stock the RC4 three wire transponder.

Race Entry is $10.00 per class.(We do accept credit cards and cash)

We also have 5 rental Traxxas 4x4 SCT Brushless edition trucks for rental use. $25.00 includes transponder when racing, you break it you pay for the repairs.

In the event of questionable weather conditions, we will make every effort to post conditions of track and status of racing by 12 noon on Sundays and 2pm on Wednesday.

After you race, you are required to return to the track to marshal the next race.

The class you race in, you are required to run the respective tire and body for that class. Example: If you race in 2wd buggy you can’t use SCT tires. If you race in SCT classes you cannot run e-buggy tires. SCT is Short Course Truck, you need to have a SCT body on the vehicle.

At times we need to mix classes, we will make every effort to discuss with the drivers what we are doing and why we are doing.

Typical race format:

You will run 2- 4 minute Ifmar style start qualifying rounds. Then you will run a 6 minute main, in the event of B and C mains, winners of C and B main will be allowed to bump up to the next main. We will make every effort to put other races in between those mains but it is a good idea to have extra batteries on charge ready to go.

We have plenty of pit space, but we encourage you to bring a table, chair and pop-up awning in the event we run out of pit space. We will get power to you.

A few things that will get you asked to leave the facility:

NO BAD LANGUAGE………  We are a family friendly facility.

POOR SPORTSMANSHIP. Yes this is a very competitive hobby and yes accidents and disagreements will happen, keep in mind that at the end of the day when the race is over, we are racing RC toy cars.

NO CHEATING. Whether it be a motor, a battery or constantly jumping the pipe. Cheating is not tolerated.

Any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us.

Thank you,

Jim Paden

something else just dawned on me. They don't really have nitro pitting there, I mean they don't have a lane for you to pull off on to refuel your car. but if they left then mean short like they do with electric you would be fine

I dont think a pit lane would be an issue for years we raced without one but if the mains for the class are as short as the electric mains there's no need for a pit stop just a helping hand from a fellow racer for the start.

Bring three on a Sunday and we will let you run, 5 would be preferable. It will take 5 in a class for prizes.  We will not run this on Wednesday nights as we try and run a tight schedule.

Thank you for your interest.

I will agree with Danman on this one, but we have some ideas and other things we are looking at doing that may accomidate th 1/8 scale cars. But it takes time to get it all in place.

Thank you,
